Why of AI?
...it often muddles our minds... the noise..
and the bleh blah so called respected page 3 superheroes and baldies peddle..
Why did we create "AI"..
this would have different answers and genesis..
for an engineer : it seems 'value of time'..
time to code : should become less
for a mechanical use : throughput/product
time to produce a good : should be less
for defense : less soldiers / less risk
value : its definition changes with use case of AI
The bottom of it all : we want to be more capable : than human body
we want to scale our mechanical and mental abilities beyond humans limits
or : we want our 'choices' to be bigger/larger/ profitable.
Thats why we evolve technology : help us do better in less
farming, tractors, vehicles, cooking tools : all 'help' us
Intent of scale -> technology ++
The choice : seems to decide the balance.
choice or 'intent' if originates from 'human'...is the genesis of it.
AI : if decides, become > human
Free will and choice : seem to be the main theme of this equation.
which means the god who created AI has bettered a human's god.
doesn't that sound a bit 'biblical'?
further thoughts...
God creates a Dog
Dog creates a god?
that just silly.
