I would not do or comply with your perf plan due to following reasons :
You are lying - the OKRs have been deliberately misrepresented to target me as NI. I have even provided proof - eg Account plan for Greenfield Enterprise accounts is a dumb, illogical idea.
You have deliberately not taken feedback from all peers and the history of accounts i have contributed to, despite always being put under an alien territory with no chance to succeed. Try to consider the value of the companies I have been able to onboard despite getting no assistance from anyone.
Your logic is either compromised or un-comprehensive, both of them ensure that I cannot work with an ethnically or logically compromised leader who is simply successful because he thrives in a political, illogical, unprofitable, un-meritocratic institution.
I can do better, hence I am leaving anyway. Why destroy when you can create :)
I wanted to leave on a good note, and close some deals before I go and earn for Google, hence the perf contest.
Personal values :
I have never worked for money, what the circumstances needed, I have been able to provide and thrive.
I always leave a place when I have learned enough to excel at that role, retention is an employer's problem.
I always want a superior human to learn from in any aspect (spiritual, logical, technical, empathy or just fun) - i have not seen any so far and that's my biggest disappointment here.
Diversity in thought, in actions - that's the fuel which keeps you learning, enagagged. I am in a place where diversity still means "hire more females" rather than diversity of thought, approach, humor and life. lol!
Spiritual/Delusional Justification : I believe in the purpose of existence, and recently while I was nursing my broken hand, forced to think through my Mothers' untimely demise, I realized my purpose - restore balance (popularly called as sustainability, though it's far bigger than that). If i have to achieve my purpose, i am destined to or born to keep running into walls which are unfair. (BTW, i lost 3 deals due to Kapil/You/Rachit in this period - feel that was deliberate)
Now that I have realized that I am more able than most, even at Google, my personal goals and needs have been achieved.
So there, covered all aspects of Maslow's triangle. This is the LAST time I justify myself to anyone....you are special people!!
With that being said, the best option for you is to review the rating - probably by an uninfluenced manager. I am promising you that if you hold your end, i will leave anyways in 2-3 months - the garden leave that you proposed, though it would be nice to get the next tranche of GSUs too, i think i earned it.
I hope this is interpreted as honesty rather than an invocation.
