"encryption at rest, transit" - Really???

06 Aug 2022

Still falling for "encryption at rest, transit and blah blah"?

Here is a technical whitepaper by gargle :

Quote - Cloud Act

"Does create a mechanism by which a qualifying foreign government may enter into an executive agreement with the U.S., provided that the qualifying foreign government meets baseline privacy, due process, and human rights standards in the CLOUD Act;"

Rest all is blah.

Implications - Few Govts and Corps already has "mechanism to access" your cloud data.

They may further give access to this "mechanism" to any "qualifying" govts.

As disturbing this statement is, Please consider the fact that your data is UN-"encryptable" at mercy of USA and its allies or Big tech masters.

Make it 256, 512 or quantum - your data wont belong to you alone.

All hail the cloud - the magic solution to your "hands-on" CTO, CIO and their troubles!!!
