Digital ID - limits and privacy

boon or bane? I guess it depends on 'problem'

There is a lot of confusion about digital ID. It is remarkable thoth, which aims to reduce human identity to a few digits. It is fast. It saves time. There is a trade-off - information.

The information or data : can be simple broken down to following components

• needs/wants of person A
• a provider of a service/utility : person B
• what and where is the ‘transaction’
• what and how much : A paid B to get a job done
• the banks and balance of it

It sounds simple enough : but also provides almost real-time control over ‘money’ and hence ‘choices of both - A and B.

Trust : between A and B : ensures it. Ledger and its enforcement : police stuff etx.

Needs / Wants and Privacy

The solution looks ideal : if the govt of the world and the arts/crafts genius which runs it : use it with ‘trust’.

Trust : the govt to own the ‘ledger’ and enforce it - using law.

Constraints Define Solutions

The constraints of population : and their enablement to use a new money/medium : is always a challenge.

More so when considering ‘scale’ of undeveloped world.

Why Digital ID makes sense for ‘Developing Countries’?

• It is not ‘compulsory’ : just convenience : enforced at places with ‘queues’
• the arts/crafts : govt machinery : which runs these ops : has no ‘privacy’
• just whims of sarkari / govt officials : and their ‘morals’
• ensure tax collection or collect patterns of it
• to ensure black money assimilation and the historical imbalance of it
• due to ‘slavery’ and unequal power transfer in chaos of ‘independence’

Illogical for ‘Developed Countries’

• The queues : not there…
• if there : can always be used to generate ; employment
• Trust : in govt : was there : before few decades : specifically 1971
• Culture : Peeps to Peep : trust : religion and its respect : enforced it
• no ‘need’, since ‘scale’ was reachable

The reasons are historical. Since ‘economic equality’ was part of their past : no slavery and chaos of division..broad pattern

• which basically is a way to ensure ‘control’ beyond independence : kangress and our page 3
• slavery beyond physical : independence
• education, money, law : blueprint of brit india and their icestual understanding of ‘culture’ - color

Is there a point to all this?

There is a solution. I did lay out all the key principles and entities in this bleh blah.

The problem : seems simple : but the solution : is convoluted.

Think on it : i know the ‘solution’ : it is always in ‘constraints’.
