it is the 'ingrate' - attitude..
we as kids of 90s : saw it getting - built : the metro..
...the places - where dey build those stations - were literally - 'impossible'..
to dream - or to imagine to engineer.
old delhi metro stations - marvels of engineering.
though i hate red line - coz of socio / economic reasons...
metro - should never be allowed in suburbs..
it destroys the idea of suburb - subsidized a region ...
based on money/time value of any individual.
red line - was the first and probably the simplest...
but with it - the delhi govt 'raised' or hored money - indirectly..
it increased floor/plot ratio or FAR : with floor registry.
the govt - hored the money - indirectly via 3rd grade property dullas..
who would makey money for iaps klass - by 'approvals'.
that is the kind of 'smart' indian corruption - we have in india..
planning or engineering - is safe for the large median middkle klass of it. 😀
further thoughts...
it made our life - hell..
roads blocked, worst traffic..
only to not use it - coz den we worked in cabs to neo suburbs ggn/noida- 2hr ride either ways.
