the thing about being - 'home'...
is the places : the shops : the flavor..
and the things : unique to it..
for me : bengali sweet's 'cholle'...was a moment..
dey were : awesome...i think best of south delhi in 90s..
and den dere were 'hing kachoris'..dey still are : same yet 'different'..
sure : cholle bhature' flavor was gone..
the shop - scaled..
now it is some : crores worth of 'bizzness'..
and my new quest for the year...
became discovering cholle-samosa of old..
i likey the new delhi..
it is great : for it doenst require any car...
and metro is great to discover left over old places..for their - 'flavor'..
dese are the shops : run by pride and loyalty..
mostly in old parts of delhi..
the staff : mostly rude and inefficient..
for dey are sure of the flavor of dem..
but aware of the mass commodity : sold near dem..
customers : would wait : it is an ancestral pride..
that takes me to metro..
it is a great break : from made up islands of neo biharrs.
a break from fake world..
where u see people in their normal lives..running...
in hurry, ego or humor - all flavors of delhi : in its ideal comfort..
food sells great : for i think that is the true religion of delhi..
dei of food : and quality variance of matter/men of it 🙂
further thoughts...
i have discovered a pattern for it..
usually around these shops : dere would be fat big dogs..
..too big to approach..
but dey noe me...and after few minutes of it..
we become - friends..
dey wont let go...but do..
for we noe : what makes dem loyal to their land : their home.
