to my armish village mind...
cars : need a redesign of sorts.. not really engineering..
but a recognition of needed flexibility of dem...
change of times : cars need to evolve more..
those rigid 5 pax thing : needs to go..
1 person car : which can expand to a pet..
or a family of 2 ...
something modular..
something which evolves as per needs..
has some specs like computers do...
engine : capacity : a/c : electric - etx..
coz its just a shell with a powertrain : which can be electric ..
or fossil or anything else...
i think we are intelligent enough to design a car..
which can just act as 'home' : which aint a grand travel caravan...
that amount of smartness : can be done with cars..
as with computers.
further thoughts...
discarding a car : coz engine got old : or brit master publish some new standard..
is kinda wasteful for a developing country : or just 'engineering'.
should not develop wasteful practices of whites : to placate few un egoes.
to me : cars are deliberately designed to be non maintainable.
..it is capitalism...doing its yoy thing.
a shell : with standard materials and strength..
with outer 3d printed shell : customized/printed to please..
dimensions can scale in proportions 1 pax + storage/pet..
1 shell upgrade : horizontal : means more engine++..upgrade..
and reuse of old thing..
coz : the shell is different from purpose..
it can be simplified : to work and feel intelligent.
1 has to understand the design of flight seats..
we spend hours in dem...seems bearable..
..imagine a similarly optimized space : with enough head/leg room...
with stuff of urs : tucked in as u 'design' it : storage and stuff..
it doesnt take much : ac can be there : nicer coz : its not a 5 pax car..
just 1 person : and comfort of it.
