big tech : has no jobs for engineers...
have we reached pinnable of tech : with those phones and tvs?
i really think : we havent..
these phone : pathetic..
tvs' : are worse than before..
and cars : we gave up on dem : some time back...
ai : seems like a piped dream : sure works....
but never delivers : ask the vibe coding guys..
what does it really mean for tech students?
i think it means small businesses which support other non tech small business.
but that : would take some lateral skills : not just the muggary taught in engineering.
open source : provides a great opportunity to impart lateral skills..
skills : which enable people to open their own companies..
and take their dream shot at tech : without any balding..
that seems like a dream : considering how outdated current engineering curriculum is ...and who designs dem : 90s baldies.
for now : its layoffs ...all around ... syd to see new peeps : hopeless.
