8 kb memory : assembly
1 mb mem : cobol
8 mb : c
16 : c++
32 : python, perl etx
.
.
1 gb : Java, Sharpie C && and hole lot of bleh blah languages
From this perspective : complexity of higher level languages always decreases with hw scale out and its availability
A high level language like python : is almost english like..
which means : the progress of computers/software is always a war of becoming 'natural' as hardware scales and becomes mass commodity
Why the big hype about 'AI'?
sure : it takes in natural languages : and produces the results.
this is natural evolution..
but why few peeps are selling it as 'new'?
i really dont know : ai was always about subjective results : not absolute solutions..
creative tasks : ai does a good job ..
but 'realtime' : only arts/crafts/java peeps can think to such level of hollywood-ness..
coz they cant 'code' or even 'imagine' : for that they ll have to bear wef/wwe 'performers'
ai : is good for finding existing 'patterns'...
not for creating new 1s...
ask any ai : to create a perfect 'religion' : the answer : lamer than ever..
thats just my personal take : i think i ll keep learning..
but AI : would always repeat the 'old'
old : is never 'progress' : but a 'loop'.
.
further thoughts...
i dint do hole lot of 'research' on lang vs mem...
the objective : is to make a point on 'evolution'..
in a way : corporate hype of 'java' : caused the dot com bubble...
but the world : pretty much the same : no real new tech in java : ever.
this 'pattern' of 'breakthrough' success : i think its driven by capitalism and 'superiority'
...in a world where JummaChummaSUpermans' : occupy half of earth/countries : is not AI logical : but 'dependent'.
Richard Jones I agree sir - i am also trying to become - artificially intelligent 🙂
