this 'skill' based evaluation...is not so 'dreamy'/'futuristic' at all...
if 1 considers the example of 'industry certifications'
I held 2 certs - Google Cloud Engg and Architect...
this was a deliberate choice : to move away from lallas of telco and apps..
the 'skills' were certified and landed me a job in google.
....
and ironically : it also highlights the results of 'compete' of current education.
i wont repeat the hole story...
but summary : skills got me in : but closed 'compete' had me a loser..
when the 'results' were public : customers and their feedback..
'closed' nature of compete of 'cloud'...tilted the scales of 'evaluation' or even 'progress' of compete
buried in google ... my defection from enemy embassy : kinda makes this thoths possible 😝
