Never give Money to a Beggar

-English class -XII

i was sleepy, but his 'direct' assertion caught my attention.

but she went on for good 5 minutes

She was really teaching us something practical - sharing her Gestalt.

I never really cared about being a high scorer

Divya mam...hard to describe her.

A perfect teacher?

seems too less of words...

she meant more... there is a weird 'dream' behind it.

A weird dream

I sweated for a few hours....till the school got over.

The teachers at MAMS had a habit of staying around after the school was over..maybe to grade papers, or just to chat around.

The vibe at school was much informal once the school got over at 2.pm.

Senior folks like us had access to library and labs in this underdog school - leaving the students to their whims and talents.

Finally, i went to the staff room - a big room with lots of tables and shelves

Divya mam was seated in the corner, not paying attention to anyone.

I peeped, called her name - but she was too consumed in something.

I had to enter, break her attention.

She was not a teacher...but more like a sister/friend/ideal logical indian devi - a v v elder and wise one.

"I had a dream"!!

The conversation stuck with me...i thought she was trying to 'hint' something...

something sensei like...which i wasnt able to 'understand'.

I thought a lot about it...tried to regain focus...

but she never said anything else.. no hints.

She kept me intrigued.. kept me in a ?

Curt, distant - yet i felt watched - anywhere i saw her.

"Original Delusional"? imho - YES.

I ended up studying english - more than 'comfortable to please' kinds.

I feel she made me learn- atleast 1/3 of it...

wont be so proud now...this all is on her - most of it

the others - physics and computers...

2 amazing teachers - with a very different style/approach and gestalt - all perfect in their own perspective.

They all inspired 'more' without asking for it..they dint ask for 'marks' much.

Mentors/Teachers/Friends/Elder Siblings?

perfect?

no, not for every1, but for me

-yes.

Thanks and TC.
